12 tricks to survive the hot summer nights



They come to us hotter and hotter days, which means that at night we often find it difficult to sleep in the heat. The best solution is an air conditioner that can be set to a temperature that is best for sleep (16 to 21), but if you leave it open all night, you will be sent a huge electric bill. But there are alternative ways. Here's how to spend a hot summer night without air 4) 

1) YOUR BEDDING SHOULD BE MADE OF COTTON 

Forget satin, silk, polyester and bedding of other hot materials. The best is cotton, which is soft and light, and through that your skin can breathe. 

2) FEEL COLD 

Place the sheets in the bag and put it in the fridge for a few minutes. This will not cool all night, but it will at least give you enough time to sleep feeling comfortable. 

3) SLEEP AS EGYPTIANS

The so-called "Egyptian method" involves sinking blanket or towel in cold water. Then a wet blanket put over dry blankets not to soak the mattress.

4) REMOVE THE PYJAMAS

5) FAN AND ICE

7) STAY AWAY FROM THE STOVE

Summer is not the time to save dishes that need high temperatures. To avoid additional heating of the house, eat salad or some dishes that take very little time to prepare.

8) DRINK PLENTY OF WATER

Drink at least two glasses of cold water before bed. Sweating at night can lead to dehydration, so provide yourself will enter a little more water than you need.


                                   9) COOL OFF IN THE SHOWER

A cold shower is one of the most beautiful things at summer, . First you take a shower with warm water, and then decrease the temperature of the water. Shower will wash away the sweat, lower your body temperature. 

                                     10) SLEEP ON THE LOWER FLOORS

If you live in the house on the floor, at summer,  sleep on the ground floor or in the basement (if it is suitable for sleeping). The temperature is lower closer you are to the ground. 

11) COOL DOWN YOUR FEET 

The feet are very sensitive to temperature. Cool the entire body soaking feet in cold water before bed. Or keep a bowl of cold water next to the bed to cool your feet every time you warm up. 

12) TURN OFF ALL LIGHTS

Turn off all electrical appliances and light bulbs, as they only contribute to the growing temperature. Each degree is essential.
